  I saw Dr. Donald for my first pregnancy exam. The experience as a whole was enough to make me immediately change practices. First of all, her receptionist is extremely rude. Upon checking in, I asked if I needed to fill out paper work and the receptionist shook her hand in my face and told me she would get with me when she had time. There was no place to sit in the waiting area so my husband and I had to stand for the first 30 minutes we were waiting. We waited over an hour past our appointment time and by that time it was my son's nap time and he was getting fussy. He ended up having a huge meltdown which was frustrating for me but we were the only ones in the waiting area at this point so I didn't take him out. The receptionist kept giving me dirty looks during this. Once we were finally called back, the nurse said zero words to me while taking my blood pressure and blood samples. Dr. Donald did come promptly into the room but was all business. For me, I'm looking for someone I connect with to be a part of my delivery. She did her job and there was nothing wrong with that but it just seemed cold. She did have a more personal conversation with my husband while I was leaving a urine sample so I would guess she warms up to you the more times you see her. But the thing that really put me over the edge was that my husband was apologizing that our son was having a meltdown and, while Dr. Donald said no problem that's what 1 year olds do when they're tired, the receptionist said if it was her kid she would have left them at home. She's lucky I was in the bathroom or I would have given her a piece of my mind. So I gave Dr. Donald two stars because, while I think she was professional and is more than likely a good doctor, her staff was unforgivably rude. When I called today to cancel my next appointment, I got the same receptionist and after asking me to confirm I wanted to cancel the appointment she abruptly hung up on me. I would advise Dr. Donald to seek professional office staff.

  Dr. Donald is by far the best ob I have ever seen and I have 4 children. She delivered my last daughter Lexington. I wish she could have delivered all of them! i have chronic kidney stones and she always would make me feel comfortable!! I will continue to see her and would highly recommend to everyone as I already have!
